The Artists

Five specialists share the floor on Larimer Street. Nobody here does a bit of everything — you book the person whose whole week is the thing you came in for.

Isabella Moore, senior hair stylist, standing on the salon floor.

Isabella Moore

Senior Hair Stylist8 years

Isabella trained in Chicago and spent four years on the floor of a high-volume downtown salon before deciding she wanted fewer clients and longer appointments. She builds a cut around how hair actually behaves — cowlicks, density, the side you sleep on — so the shape still reads on the mornings you do nothing to it. She takes the first appointment of the day and the last one before close, and she will tell you plainly when the photo you brought in belongs to a different head of hair.

Sophia Bennett, nail artist, at her station.

Sophia Bennett

Nail Artist6 years

Sophia is meticulous about the parts of a manicure nobody photographs. Proper prep, patient cuticle work and a base coat cured all the way through are the reason her gel sets reach week three instead of chipping in week two. She does freehand art by request — fine line, chrome, hand-painted florals — and she will say honestly when a design won't survive the length you're wearing, then suggest the version that will.

Ava Mitchell, esthetician and skincare specialist, in the treatment room.

Ava Mitchell

Esthetician / Skincare Specialist10 years

Ava has ten years behind the treatment table and a habit of talking clients out of the expensive option. She reads your skin first, then builds a routine you can realistically keep up — usually with fewer products than you walked in using. She handles the peels and the anti-aging protocols, and she'll tell you up front how many sessions something takes and what it will and won't do, which is not always the answer people are hoping for.

Mia Carter, colorist, at the back station.

Mia Carter

Colorist5 years

Mia is responsible for most of the blonde in this salon. She works at the back station in natural light and mixes to the room rather than to a swatch book, which is why her balayage grows out softly instead of leaving a line across the back of your head. Bring the photo you saved — she'll tell you what your hair can hold today, how many sessions it takes to get the rest of the way, and what the upkeep costs before you commit to it.

Chloe Ramirez, junior stylist and makeup artist, in the salon.

Chloe Ramirez

Junior Stylist & Makeup Artist3 years

Chloe came up through the assistant programme here and now takes her own chair for cuts, blowouts and styling. She is also the one to book for event makeup — weddings, portraits, anything that has to hold for twelve hours and still photograph well under bad lighting. Her diary is the easiest to get into on short notice, which regulars have quietly worked out.
